Once you have your cleaning solution at the ready, apply it to the hard water stains and let it sit for a while before scrubbing. It’s important to use the right utensils here to avoid scratching glass and other surfaces, so look for non-abrasive cloth and soft sponges.

Soaking

In some cases, you might need to let an object or area soak for a longer period before scrubbing will make any difference. For example, you could grab a sandwich bag, fill it with your vinegar solution, put the shower head inside and close it up with a rubber band.
